YouTube now incorporating Google+1 in adverts
I’ve just noticed that YouTube adverts are now accompanied by the Google+1 button next to the ‘skip’ button. This comes the day after Google acquired RightsFlow, a US based company that provides songwriters and bands with music licensing protection and a royalty payment solution, to help tackle music piracy.
Also, there was a very interesting interview with Eric Schmidt regarding anti-competition late last week, where YouTube’s prominence with Google’s search results is discussed in great detail.
Below is a screenshot highlighting the inclusion of the Google+1 button for an advert before a YouTube clip:

So, which side of the fence do you fall on – its Google’s product so they can included any social media links they wish OR in the wake of the anti-competition investigation, perhaps additional buttons to help ‘satisfy the consumer’ (Schmidt’s words) would have been a welcomed addition?
Edit – this actually only appears to be for each individual advert, which will provide some superb data for Google on what different demographics think of each commercial. This is obviously subject to interaction.
